Bobby Gene Hudson

Bobby Gene Hudson 93, of Chattanooga, TN. passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026. He was an investigator for Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office for 17 years and retired from Velsicol Chemical after 38 years of service. Life member of Chattanooga Hamilton County Rescue Service and served as chief for seven years. Bobby helped organize the first HazMat team for Hamilton County. Member of Lookout Valley Masonic Lodge # 673 and Member of Lookout Valley Order of Eastern Star 483. He was also a member of Knights of Pythian Lodge.  Bobby was a Veteran of Korean War who served in the US ARMY for two years. Bobby was also a member of Wauhatchie Global Methodist Church where he served as trustee for many years.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ann Richards Hudson. His parents; Lige L. Hudson and Ethel Mae Lamb Hudson, four brothers; Harry, Lige Ray, Bill, Jimmy Hudson. One sister; Dot Rogers. His daughter-in-law; Lisa Ann Hudson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Scott Hudson of Chattanooga, TN., daughter Kimberly Sendele of Chattanooga, TN. Sister Ninna Hudson of Chattanooga, TN., granddaughter, Laurel Hudson and grandson Adam Hall and one great grandchild, Payton Hall.

The family will receive friends and family Thursday, May 7 from 10-12:30pm for visitation with service to follow at 12:30pm at Wauhatchie Global Methodist Church 3401 Cummings Hwy. Chattanooga, TN. 37419

Bobby will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
