Danny Ray Gilbert

Danny Ray Gilbert of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. Danny was a true outdoorsman. He loved fishing, going camping, being out on a boat and planting flowers for his family. He also had a love of Tennessee football and most of all spending time with his loving family. Danny did land scaping his whole life and was a firefighter for Chattanooga Fire Department in previous years.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Gilbert.

Danny left behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Janice Gilbert. His children, Piper and Cooper Gilbert and Sister Sindy Gilbert Bright.

The family will have visitation Saturday, April 4, from 12:00-2:00 with funeral service to follow at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home. There will be no graveside service.
