Eugene Carson

Eugene Carson age 61 of Tunnel Hill, Ga. was senselessly murdered August 15, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Eugene was born May 25, 1963, in Orange County New York. He was a firefighter in Walden, NY. and graduated from Valley Central High School. He joined the US NAVY as a sonar technician and served on several tours on numerous different ships on the east and west coast. After leaving the military service, Eugene moved to Chattanooga area and worked for Koch Foods for over 20 years. Eugene was and outgoing person and never met a stranger. His family was a priority, and he always enjoyed a family cookout.

Eugene was survived by his mother Betty Carson of Hixson, TN. Four brothers; Peter (Lisa) Carson of Trussville, Ala.; Joseph Carson Jr of Pensacola, Fla.; Bill (Barbara) Carson of Ringgold, Ga. and Vincent Carson of Hixson, TN. Two children; son Shawn Carson of Walden, NY. and daughter Stephanie (Keith) Rembiszewski of Spencer, TN.; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, from 5pm-8pm and Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, from 9:30am- 11:30am with service to follow at 11:30am.

Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1pm.

Arrangements have been entrusted by Chattanooga Memorial Funeral Home 144 Browns Ferry Rd. Chattanooga, TN.
