Joyce Lee Guffey

Joyce Lee Jaynes Guffey, 91, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away in her home December 1,2024. Joyce is the widow of William Arvil Guffey. She was a member of the Lookout Valley Baptist Church. She retired as a nurse from Erlanger Hospital after 27 years. She was the daughter of John Henry Clay and Ida Florence Jackson Jaynes.

She is survived by her sons William Arvil Guffey Jr., Ed (Carolyn) Guffey, and Jeff (Suzanne) Guffey, Grandsons: Michael (Leeann), Kevin (Jaime), Matthew, Christopher (Bethany), and Jacob Guffey. Great grandchildren Kelsea (Peyton) Green, Caleb, Anslea, Emma, Cayden, Asher, and Harper Guffey. The family would like to give a special thanks to Lookout Valley Baptist members for the special care they have given her in the last few years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Arvil Guffey and her parents: Clay and Ida Jaynes.
